New Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts

I’m writing to let you know about our new Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, which will be of interest to your students. The degree allows students to combine a range of subjects including history, geography, politics, languages and religion. The key feature about this degree is that students will study a range of subjects in their first year before specializing by choosing a major and a minor subject. The degree programme is also distinctive in that it includes an optional internship module, the opportunity to study a language, and to spend time abroad at one of our partner institutions.

This is an exciting and challenging programme for bright and ambitious students. King’s is one of the most prestigious universities in the country (recently rated 27th in the world) and is in the UK’s top five for student employability post-graduation.

We are keen to encourage excellent applicants from all backgrounds, and so this year are offering up to five scholarships of £15,000 each to support students through their course. The applications will be judged on both academic merit, and parental income, so that we can support the best students who might not otherwise be able to attend the course.

You can find out much more information about the programme on our website (www.kcl.ac.uk/liberalarts). The Admissions Tutor for the degree will be running a webinar on 29 September at 6pm, to explain the programme and answer questions. If any of your students or staff would like to attend, please email liberalarts@kcl.ac.uk by Tuesday 27 September at 5pm, and we will send you a link and further instructions by email.

Best wishes,

Jan Palmowski
Head of the School of Arts & Humanities
